The “Human Language Project” according to TAUS (2013)
TAUS, a resource center for the global language and translation industries, discussed the idea of a “Human Language Project” as an open platform of language resources and tools. Their ideas were inspired by the Human Genome Project.
The “Human Language Project” according to Abney and Bird (2010)
Abney and Bird (2010) discussed the idea of a “Human Language Project” as a corpus creation project that would include all of the world’s languages, in a consistent structure that permits large-scale cross-linguistic processing, enabling the study of universal linguistics.
